Look How Far You’ve Come: Celebrating Our Directors Academy Graduates of 2026
Oct 28, 2026
Six months of learning. Six modules of growth. Countless moments of reflection, courage and connection. One incredible milestone worth celebrating.
On Friday, 16 October 2026, we opened the doors at Platinum Ed HQ for a very special occasion: the Directors Academy Graduation.
It was a day dedicated to celebrating the leaders who had invested in themselves, committed to their development and taken steps towards becoming the kind of leaders they aspire to be.
It was more than completing six modules
The Directors Academy was never just about working through six modules or ticking boxes on a checklist.
It was about creating space for early childhood leaders to pause, reflect and look at their leadership through a different lens.
Across six months, our Platinum Leaders explored their inner game as a director, navigated the complexities of compliance, dreamed bigger for their services, mapped their road to success and discovered new ways to manage and motivate their teams.
Each module brought new ideas, practical strategies and opportunities to reflect on how leadership shows up in everyday practice.
Because leadership isn't something we master overnight.
It grows through the decisions we make, the conversations we have, the challenges we navigate and the moments when we choose to do things differently.
Sometimes growth looks like making a big change. Other times, it looks like asking a better question, having a difficult conversation with more confidence or finally understanding something that once felt overwhelming.
Those moments matter.
And they deserve to be celebrated.
A day to pause and recognise the journey
Graduation gave us the opportunity to step away from the everyday demands of early childhood leadership and recognise just how much these leaders have accomplished.
In an industry where directors and leaders are constantly showing up for their teams, children, families and communities, it can be easy to move straight on to the next task without stopping to acknowledge how far we've travelled.
This day was different.
It was a chance to celebrate the work that happens behind the scenes: the modules completed, the reflections written, the ideas challenged, the lessons learned and the determination it takes to keep showing up for your own development.
There was something particularly special about bringing our Platinum Leaders together in person at Platinum Ed HQ. These weren't simply people completing a program. They were leaders sharing an experience, learning alongside one another and becoming part of a community that understands the realities of leading in early childhood education.
And that is something worth celebrating.
The people behind the journey
Behind every completed module is a person.
A leader balancing responsibilities, navigating challenges and making decisions that affect the people around them. Someone who is often so busy supporting everyone else that their own development can easily slip to the bottom of the list.
Choosing to invest in your leadership takes commitment.
It takes a willingness to reflect, to question familiar ways of doing things and to remain open to learning, even when the day-to-day demands of your role are pulling you in a hundred different directions.
That is why this graduation meant so much.
We weren't just celebrating what our graduates had completed. We were celebrating the effort, persistence and courage it took to get there.
To every leader who worked through the modules, engaged with the learning and made space for their own growth: we hope you feel incredibly proud of yourself.
You showed up for your development. You kept going. You reached the finish line.
And we hope you carry that sense of achievement with you long after graduation day.
A community that makes the journey richer
One of the most valuable parts of the Directors Academy is the opportunity to learn alongside other people who understand the unique challenges of early childhood leadership.
Leadership can sometimes feel isolating. Directors are often the people others turn to for answers, reassurance and direction, even when they are still working through the questions themselves.
Being part of a community creates space for something different.
It reminds us that we don't have to have every answer immediately. We can ask questions, share experiences, learn from one another and recognise that growth is something we can continue working towards together.
Our graduation was a beautiful reminder of the value of connection.
To our graduates, thank you for being part of this journey and for contributing to the learning, conversations and community that make the Directors Academy what it is.
We are so proud to have shared this journey with you.
One brick at a time.
There is a quote that captures the spirit of this journey beautifully:
“One brick at a time.”
It is a reminder that meaningful leadership development doesn't happen in one big moment. It is built gradually, through small decisions, new understandings and consistent action.
You don't need to have everything figured out to be a great leader.
You need to remain curious, willing to learn and committed to the difference you want to make.
As our graduates return to their services, teams and communities, we hope they take more than their certificates with them. We hope they carry new perspectives, greater confidence in their leadership and a renewed sense of what is possible.
We hope they remember the ideas that challenged them, the moments that made things click and the progress they made along the way.
And when the next challenge arrives (because we know it will!), we hope they can look back on this milestone and remember what they are capable of achieving.
To our 2026 Directors Academy graduates: this is only the beginning
To everyone who celebrated with us on Friday, 16 October, thank you for being part of such a meaningful day.
To our graduates, congratulations.
Thank you for trusting Platinum Education to be part of your leadership journey. Thank you for investing in yourselves and for the important work you continue to do in early childhood education.
Keep asking questions. Keep reflecting. Keep dreaming big. Keep building the services, teams and leadership cultures you want to be part of.
And most importantly, remember to pause every now and then and recognise just how far you've come.
Because the early childhood sector needs leaders who are willing to keep learning, keep growing and keep showing up with purpose.
We are so proud of you, and we cannot wait to see what you do next.
Congratulations, Directors Academy Class of 2026!
