Assessment & Rating support available right now

The Full Day Audit

The aim of our audit is to prepare you and your team for your upcoming assessment and rating visit as well as ensuring that your service is compliant. We will also use this time to discuss and analyse the overall perspective of how your service is performing, including identifying key areas for improvement. Upon conclusion of the mock audit, you can choose between a verbal consultation or a report which contains an action plan with written recommendations.

Effectively, it gives you the tools to update and/or develop your Quality Improvement Plan, ensuring a higher quality of service for children, families and educators.

What to Expect

An Assessment and Rating mock audit consists of the following;

  • Onsite visit to your service.
  • Observation of your educators in practice.
  • Sighting and/or discussion of documentation regarding compliance and practice surrounding legal, legislative and regulatory authority relevant to your service.
  • Assessment of team knowledge, comprehension and practical application of your policies and procedures, inclusive of written and verbal communication.
  • We also provide documentation and/or resources to bridge impeding gaps to an exceeding rating.

Quality Areas Covered

Your service will also be assessed on the following areas;

  • Quality Area 1 - Educational Program and Practice
    Ensuring the educational program and practice is stimulating and engaging, and enhances children’s learning and development.
  • Quality Area 2 - Children's Health and Safety
    The safeguarding and promotion of children’s health and safety inclusive of physical, psychological, well being and emotional support. This includes minimisation of risk to protect children from harm, injury and infection.
  • Quality Area 3 - Physical Environment
    The physical environment is safe, suitable and provides a rich and diverse range of experiences to promote learning and development.
  • Quality Area 4 - Staffing Arrangements
    Provision of qualified and experienced educators, coordinators and nominated supervisors who are able to develop warm, respectful relationships with children. They create safe and predictable environments, encouraging active engagement.
  • Quality Area 5 - Relationships with Children
    Promote relationships with children that are responsive, respectful and have a sense of security and belonging. This enables free exploration of the environment and engagement in play and learning.
